Why does TV reception pixelate only on some channels?

This problem is a very commonly asked question. It's not just scarborough but is in fact usually caused by a weak signal on behalf of all your TV channels. All the TV channels are transmitted on a different frequency and signal strength is not always but is often consistent channel to channel. Why one channel plays up before another channel is because that frequency's signal strength is lower than the acceptable standard to what we call 'reliable'. 

This situation often presents a reading that tells us that it's only a matter of time until your other channels are too low and will drop out also. 

The beauty and the bad side of digital is that this is quite confusing as you still get a 'perfect picture' despite of a 'weak signal'. Perfect picture does not mean that your signal strength is strong!
