DAISY HILL - ANTENNA INSTALLATION DISASTER STORY: 

The Story: We arrived at the client's home to assess their tv reception problems. After an initial site analysis it was determined that the elevated ranges seperating the Daisy Hill area from Mt Cootha towers was making it difficult to receive good, reliable digital signals for this area.

We mucked around for a while doing a free site analysis/quote and discovered that there was no other 'extended masts' in the neighbourhood.... What's going on we thought?? 

Now we were confident of what the solution was but yes, the customer did have a hard time understanding why their house would be the only one with a big, huge, gigantic pole on their roof holding up the aerial.

Upon being invited into their neighbours on the left and on the right to do a 5 second test with the signal meter we realised that 1. neighbour on the left didn't watch free to air television but had Foxtel and 2. neighbour on the right didn't watch free to air because the tv reception pixellated all the time and they downloaded their own movies from their computer and only resided at this house for 6 months of the year.

So after that, the customer weighed up their options and then decided that - it had to be done. They were convinced. 

Now we actually came in only a fraction under some competitor's previous quotes but we also cross examined the quotes and realised that what competitors were quoting on were inferior, smaller, less gain digital aerials. 

And... their quotes not only shocked me, they left me feeling compelled to recommend some advice to them to give them a helping hand.
