5 Things we recommend considering when deciding on buying a new TV.
- Price vs size. You'll notice quite a difference in price between brands of TVs at a certain size. I always recommend buying the more expensive TV for the size as it will perform much better in all aspects. Fast to respond, great display panel, including good viewing angles, fast responding remote and better build quality.
- The Remote Control. Some brands I find personally the way their Smart TV remote works is really un-user friendly and would be a pain to have to use daily. I recommend trying out the remote in the store before buying. Also make sure the TV responds quickly and that you don't have to point at a small area of the TV for it to work.
- Respond Time. With cheaper TV's comes slower more inferior internal computers, which can translate into a slow response time to you pushing buttons on the remote, which is very frustrating.
- Start Up Times. Some budget Tv's take ages to turn on and turn off. You're basically getting what you pay for here so beware, it gets really annoying.
- Viewing Angle. Again, with cheaper TV's I recommend taking a look at how good or bad the viewing angle is. Try looking at the screen from a position outside of dead on in front, some TV's the colours distort significantly.

"Barry ordered a TV online for his bedroom as he was going to be spending a lot of time in his room after a hospital stint. Barry was unable to physically un-box and assemble his TV. We visited Barry at his Varsity Lakes home and quickly had his new TV setup, his favourite apps installed and the channels tuned in. Afterwards we gave Barry a demonstration on how to use his new TV. It was lucky Barry called us in actually too, because the TV's auto-tune feature made mistakes and we had to manually tune in his TV."
