"Narelle moved into a big fancy home in Palm beach with had an existing cinema room. The previous owners left the speakers in the walls and all the cables hanging out of the wall. We helped Narelle install her AV Receiver amplifier, connected up the surround sound, sourced and supplied a home cinema projector and showed her how to use it all. There's a bit to learn but we're confident Narelle will get her head around it."

5 Important things to remember when building home with a cinema room.

1. It' a good idea to prewire things like speaker cable and projector cables. After your homes roof and frame is up it's a great time to do the pre-wire for your cinema before the plaster goes in; it will save you a lot on the installation cost after your home is built.
2. Run spare cables if it's a downstairs room. If your cinema is not on the top floor of your home or your home has no workable ceiling cavity once your home is built you have to cater for situations where mandatory cables can be replaced. Sometimes this means running a second cable as a spare, such as a hdmi cable for your projector.
3. Proper distancing is available for your projector. Projectors need to sit back in a distance range in order to fill your projector screen in your Palm Beach home like everywhere else. So be sure to think about this before sizing up your room and planning its location
4. Deciding on where your media equipment will sit. All your equipment like AV Receivers / amplifiers, surround sound speaker wire, Foxtel boxes, DVD players etc can essentially be located where ever you want but you have to get the cables to them so you have to think about the things I mentioned in point 1.
5. Your projector will need a power point. You can put a hidden power point inside the ceiling or a plate on the wall (if you know where your projector is going) but if you forgot many fancy homes are near impossible to add things like this in at a later date.
