Franchise businesses have been considered less risky than NON-Franchise start up businesses. They have been proven to work by multiple operators in multiple territories! (That's if a Franchise has over 10x branches!) So to say that a franchise won't work - really becomes a question of - The operator. We know all too well why the numbers are high or low for our various franchisees. We can disclose all this information after you have submitted your E.O.I. You are also welcome to call them!

If you can just do what all the existing franchisees have done - there is a HIGH LIKELIHOOD that you will be JUST AS SUCCESSFUL*. For every single one of them that started training, they all successfully completed it. All of them had jobs to do in their first week of business. And all of them experienced the nervousness (and excitement) - that, you are perhaps experiencing. The trainer and headoffice are ALWAYS on standby to help you along the way, even when you're back at home running your business. We will provide a high level of on-going support and coaching until such a day that you are able to stand firmly on your own two feet. Whilst no two franchisees are the same, they all get to that point eventually! And even when you are firmly on your own two feet, we'll have more for you! (At that stage it may become optional). A franchise is like any business. Businesses are valued usually at a minimum of one year's profit. In which case our franchises HAVE BEEN VALUED AT $250K! To remain competitive however with all over franchises on the market - we have priced ours accordingly. The TV Magic franchise also comes with $40,000 of hard costs and a genuine opportunity to make much, much more $$ than many other franchises that give you a smaller franchise territory or more limited scope of works. '

Franchise territories are strictly exclusive. Whilst you can wait - there is genuine scarcity with ALL TV Magic territories. This is because our territories are exclusive and quite generous. Historically, prospects have come back 6 months later and secured their territory. Others have missed out. A deposit can be put down to secure your territory. If you want to 'hold onto it' for some time..we'll just put this money in escrow and whilst you put a plan in place to lock in a future start date. There will however, be an expiry date for your 'first rights of option to buy'; if that time expires and we havn't found another prospect- it may carry on. If we do find another prospect and they are able to meet all the financial committments - we'll refund 100% of your deposit. You will have lost nothing ( except for an opportunity - which you never really had anyway) . In fact we've heard many stories from other franchise companies where these stories happen frequently - we have not had this happen in TV Magic. 100% of our franchise prospects that have reached the deposit stage (and placed a deposit) have followed through with their TV Magic business and become successful franchisees. We're just letting you know that we follow all ACCC's Franchise Code of Conduct Rules / Laws and if you want your deposit back (within the cooling off period - it's all yours! ')

Whether or not the daily operations of a TV Magic franchise is too difficult for you or not, depends on many factors. We would like to express that we have had successful franchisees whom MOST OF THEM did not have any PRIOR EXPERIENCE! in running a business (or in the industry!) We've trained ex-bus drivers, ex corporates, ex police officers, ex miners, ex jb hi fi staff, ex IT guys, ex plumbers, ex electricians, ex Military, ex mechanics and many more backgrounds.. If they can do it - you can do it. All of them are not "that special". However, they all share one thing in common - a great attitude and orientation towards achieving personal goals and serving customers who ultimately pay your bills!'

We recommend you do this! Whilst some decisions are made unilaterally, othes are made bilaterally. In case you're wondering? We've found it's about 50 / 50! But which one you are... is entirely up to you and what's going on in your life right now. There's no pressure from us. We understand there's enough pressure in starting a new business and we'll reserve our energy for the things that matter most - like supporting you and doing what we do, to create another successful, profitable launch.

A TV Magic franchise is for anyone wanting to be self employed. Someone who has a strong work ethic, can climb a ladder, can carry out/learn some basic handyman skills, learn some basic theory on technology, and above all - has a great attitude and willingness to serve and help people - which in return will pay you handsomely!

A TV Magic franchise is not for someone who thinks they know it all. And we don't need to tell them that... because they already know that, because they already : 'KNOW IT ALL'. A TV Magic franchise is not for someone who doesn't like to learn. A TV Magic franchise is not for 'UN-CHECKED-EGOS'! (Whilst we would love the use of another word)... The TV Magic franchise is not for those that are arrogant or possess an 'entitlement mentality'. A TV Magic franchise is NOT for those that want a steady, predictable, weekly pay-cheque. (That's what the boss you hate working for, is there to give you!) It is not for ANYBODY who has an unwaivering desire to serve and bow down to their boss for the rest of their lives. It's not for someone who doesn't ever take risks. It's not for someone who doesn't ever want to get ahead in life. It's definitely NOT for someone who wants a work /life balance, and to create freedom for themselves. It's not for someone who wants to do the SAME boring, old thing every day. It's not for someone who doesn't like a challenge. And a TV Magic franchise is NOT for someone who cannot climb a 3 foot ladder or send an SMS message (Hey! Whilst we're great at training! .. the technical learning curve may be too great for these types of people!) And, in case you're wondering... Yes! we have had many, many prospects that have been rejected (or unqualified themselves) because they found out that they hated driving, wanted to work indoors, didn't want to climb ladders or a myriad of other reasons. A TV Magic franchise lends itself as what's called an "Owner/ Operator" type of business. Yes it does have the potential to provide you with a lifestyle off the tools - but it is very different to investing into a half-a-million-dollar self managed business model. Getting off the tools will take you much more time and will require you to be on the tools for a period of time so that you can lead and support your team properly - because you possess the necessary experience to do so.

Short answer: "Hard yes!" More detail: Not only are our services in high demand, many of our competitors who have been going for 5+ years are inundated with work too. They may not make as money as we do or be able to do ALL the different jobs we do.. but there is a lot of competition out there.. which means there is a lot of work out there! Every electrician, every AV guy, every IT guy / computer service business has hung a telly or two. Every electrician has had their fair share of antenna installations. Alot of them don't like that sort of work (or know what they are doing - but they have done them. The reality is, there are hundreds of 'small-time' competitors (think no brand names / no signage on their vans) our there at any one time. There are usually between 1-3 'major' competitors in any one area. We find.. that once TV Magic is servicing a region/ area we are usually dominating that area with a significant market share within 2-4 years. Secondly, our services pay very well because some of our services are very niche. We fetch well over $100/hour and as we creep towards the year 2030 we are fetching $250-$500/hr on many of our specialist jobs also. Specialist jobs that you will receive training for, and will be able to execute to a level after your initial training course.

Yes we have a $2000 / per week turnover GUARANTEE * Conditions apply This is calculated on a pro-rata, month to month basic - min. $8000/ per calendar month. For the first 3 months only and kicks in after the 2 week 'grace period' (after training) * Further conditions apply -please submit your E.O.I for full details. Historically, not a single franchisee has made a claim on the INCOME GUARANTEE clause in the contract (because they havn't needed to). We can guarantee this income because truthfully, it's quite low. At $650 for an average job - that's just a bit over 3.5 jobs per week that we need to get you. And for our remaining 'hot territories' - we are already (on average) rejecting 5 paying customers per week (without any marketing).

You can compare a TV Magic franchise to any other franchise brand - a Subway, a McDonalds, A battery testing franchise, office cleaning franchise or lawn mowing franchise. Like all Franchise brands we have strengths and weaknesses. However, we do (naturally) at our size and maturity have a few advantages: We strategically tailored our franchise business to favour the franchisee more than the franchisor. Our valuation (EBITDA) is valued way in excess of our franchise purchase price and we have a very high % of success rate and franchise term renewal rates. We also have a 100% profit success rate. No historical or existing franchisee has run their TV Magic business at a loss.

You get a business that will give you a $150k - $250k income potential* As part of the turn-key price you will receive $40,000 of hard costs (things). These are all the 'things' (as mentioned in the "What's included?" section below). You will also get a very large territory that is exclusivly OWNED by you - a territory that you WILL NOT have to share with ANYBODY else. You get the keys to to operate a 22 year matured and proven business model and an opportunity to make your boss disappear for life!

You're reading them right here! We've spoken to an estimated 5000x prospects. In franchising - it's a bit like selling a house - A realtor will show a house for sale to 100x people before someone buys. So getting asked questions and answering questions is something that we do with our eyes closed! We have a question and a quote for you! The quote being "1x person with a committment is better than 1000x people with an 'interest' ! So we therefore ask the following questions in return .. are you committed? Are going to take the first steps? When are you going to!? Because we can genuinely say that for some prospects who have approached us for various areas .. the conversation was over within 30seconds - because the territory wasn't available. We believe in responsible franchising and once an area is sold - that's it." We're busy helping our existing franchisees grow their businesses, JUST AS MUCH, as we are focussed on fulfilling our remaining 'hot territories' where we have unmet customers getting turned away on a weekly basis.

From the time you submit your Expression of interest, it can be as quick as 3-6 weeks (depending on how fast you move). As for the question "How fast does it take for my business to start making money?" A. You'll be making money from week 1. We've not had a single Franchisee who hasn't. With our marketing prowess and strong branding you'll have jobs to go to from week 1. The growth happens quite quickly. See the "Financial Information & Results" segment below to see the graph of just how quickly you can do $3000 profit weeks and even $13,000 profit weeks. Every week is different and every operator is different. Depending on your personality, strengths and weaknesses your results will vary but if we have CHOSEN YOU and you have finished our training - things tend to work out just fine. If we've chosen you, (and you have followed the system correctly), the chances that you'll be hitting the $5k profit per week milestone in a relatively short time, are very high!

Not only are you allowed to, we encourage it! Your TV Magic franchise territory is more generous in size, than most other franchise brands. It has been designed to assist you in achieving business expansion, by giving you a REAL LIKELIHOOD to grow to multiple vans.

If you want it - you'll get it! And you don't even have to ask - we have an ongoing support program / curriculum for you. You'll be hearing from us on a scheduled basis for various topics throughout your entire 5 year contract. In addition to that support schedule, you will be required to attend our annual franchise conference. This is mandatory and you will have to pay for it whether you attend or not. If you are unable to attend - the event is recorded and given to you later, digitally. If you've ever had had a Government Job / professional career where mandatory CPD (Continuing Professional Development) points are needed on an annual basis. Our annual conference is a little like that. We are updating you with the latest breakthroughs on a wide range of technical and business aspects. Annaul conferences have previously been held on an alternating; away-home-away-home basis. The cost of the TV Magic Franchise annual conference is approximately $1500-$2000 per person, not including travel and accommodation expenses. They are always booked well in advance and on a weekend outside of peak business periods. If you are fortunate enough to grow your TV Magic business - any additional technicians/staff are also required to attend.

Working for TV Magic, working for the franchisor and head office has been expressed as, "a breath of fresh air", and "the best thing since sliced bread!". Firstly, when you're self-employed you don't work "for us" (and you don't work for anybody! - except for the people paying the bills. And that's your customers!) Having your own TV Magic business is a two way street - you work 'with us'... if anything, we work for you! We don't work for you... we work with you. It can be thought of as a business partnership. A special partnership where you have most of the control. Having your own TV Magic franchise business gives you an element of freedom (that you would get from a non-franchise startup), but also receive the support and help (that you WON'T get if you go out on your own). It has been expressed that the franchisor has a "grandfather like" leadership style. He is highly supportive, but doesn't interfere. He overseas critical things - offers constructuve layers (where it will have the most impact on your business;) but doesn't interfere or micro manage the 'small stuff'. He is pro business and pro growth. If you are a "cruiser", the team and the franchisor will 'let you be'. We understand that your personal goals & dreams may differ to others, and the TV Magic business is just a tool to help you achieve that lifestyle & success. You may/ may not, want to become a millionaire. You may / may not, want to grow. You may / may not, want to work 40hrs, 60 hrs or 20hrs. The ultimate results you COULD achieve are multiple vans and building a business that pays you a salary whilst you are off the tools. You COULD achieve a $1mil to $5mil turnover business. You COULD grow beyond the standard $5000 per week turnover and do regular $10k- $15k weeks. You may even grow into higher-paying jobs; the commercial jobs and home cinema jobs and develop a skill set that enables you to just do 10x jobs a year - building 10x cinemas for high-end clients. We have a few franchisees who have achieved this level of success. We have many franchisees who are on their way to this level and we have franchisees who have no interest in growing their business beyond the $150k - $250k salary that they are currently receiving. What ever your results end up being, will; at the end of the day - come down to your ability to follow a system, learn all the technical and business aspects of your TV Magic franchise and grow your leadership skills. Whilst we have witnessed newer guys who joined, (and with much delight and surprise), come in and "stand on the shoulders of those before them"; and outperform their results in a fifth of the time! ...there is no guarantee that you will achieve these levels of success.

From experience we have found that it is best to finish your 2 week training course in one go and go straight to work! If you have holidays /personal agendas planned - it's best to not have to deal with these in your first 1-3 months of business. We want to make sure that all the learnings you gained from your intense training period are put into practice; whilst they are fresh in your mind! If you have a surgery planned, a holiday, a wedding.. whatever it may be.. timing is crucial. It is important that your business is tended to with 'all hands on deck', all your presence and undivided attention! ... as soon as you finish training.

Once upon a time, our vehicle requirements were hard & fast, (for brand consistency purposes). We have since, been able to achieve the brand consistency with newly discovered flexibility. Therefore many more options are available (than there was 12 years ago). For example even if you car doesn't meet our approved colour codes;.. at an additional expense to you, we can wrap the car from top to bottom! We do however, have limitations on the age and presentation of your vehicle. These standards are an important factor in maintaining our branding and reputation. Currently, we accept the following: Any van / ute model (with a recommendation towards a van). The colour must be: white, black, blue or silver. (with a preference for white or black). If your van /ute is another colour entirely - a full body wrap must be applied. Also, the age of your work vehicle cannot exceed 10 years and must have a flawless exterior (no major dents/ scratches) and must be approved by head office.

This question has been asked very frequently! When we get down to the nitty gritty, we find that difference in savings is usually a maximum $2000. We need you to have specific gear (for training purposes) and new gear for reliability and safety reasons. Wé're not trying to make things more difficult but from experience we've found that it's just been easier to let you know up front - that if you do get a slight 'doubling-up of tools - it won't go to waste! The whole idea is for you to trust our experience and our 22 year proven business model. We can tell you that we have scrutinised the tool inventory more than you ever will! We have found that perfect balance of 'just the right amount of tools - to get 90% of jobs done efficiently without blowing out the budget. Whilst it is entirely possible to increase the tool inventory to $150k (or more) - some tools are just 'over-kill'. It is also possible to have an under-tooled business that runs on a shoe-string budget. For example:- experienced technicians are very capable of mounting a TV without a stud finder. They can even mount a TV without a tape measure or a level! Yes sir! Technically, you can even run cables through a roof without a torch. However, does that mean it's a good idea to train a new guy as such? Of course not! That's why you are investing into a franchise. We've done EVERYTHING the hard way, and the EASY way and learnt 99% of all the lessons for you! So trust us when you receive the awesome Milwaukee tools and the budget tools as part of your franchise pack. We know what's needed and what's not. Example: We could supply you with a $300 carpenter's hammer; but we don't. Such a hammer is over-kill for our industry. However, having a reliable drill and state of the art Signal Meter are worth their weight & gold. That's why the hammer you will receive will be around $10 in value but the signal meter will be one of the most expensive ones on the market, worth thousands of dollars. That signal meter is also very, very specific and kept a trade secret of ours (because we've trialled all the rest) and that's why TV Magic is the company that get called in, gets paid to fix everyone else's work. That's why we're called in to finish the "difficult jobs' that a competitor's inferior signal meter has let them down on.

Partners can be involved in your TV Magic business, however we will need to know prior; to what capacity? If the the plan is for them to fulfill a book-keeping, phone answering or receptionist type role; this is a very common question. However, with our CRM and innovative business model, you may be delighted to know that they probably won't even be needed! If on the other hand, the plan is for them to join you out on the road to serve customers - they will need to receive the exact same training that you will receive. For these unique circumstances please submit your E.O.I and we can discuss all the details with you and how this all works. '

24 - What do the franchise docs look like?

When you buy any franchise (that is above board and code compliant); you will receive two documents. These two documents are the Franchise Agreement and the Disclosure Doc. These are standard franchise docs that you would expect to see from any franchise - a McDonalds, a Pillowtalk , a TV Magic etc For TV Magic, each document contains approximately 60-80 pages. The disclosure document discloses all our existing franchisees, exiting franchisees and failing franchisees (0), any prior court cases (0) , financials and other basic info about our franchise company - TV Magic Franchising Pty Ltd. The franchise agreement contains 'stock standard' ACCC content. This content is found at the beginning and is consistent with any franchise brand's F.A (franchise agreement) ie. what you would find in a TV Magic F.A will also be in a Subway F.A. After the ACCC content you will then find a "Schedule". Tje schedule contains all the clauses that are specific to the TV Magic franchise. It stipulates how much the franchise is worth, the territory map, when money is paid, to whom it is paid and basic details like the support we have to give you, what you have to do in your TV Magic business and so forth. We like to go through this agreement with you over a phone call - or a video call so that you understand it (and there are no surprises). There is a section in teh Franchise Agreement where you must sign just one of the following 3 options: 1. You understand the agreement fully (yourself); 2. You've seeked advise from an independant business advisor; or 3. You've seeked advise from an independant lawyer. Whether or not you seek independent advise is entirely up to you, however, it is at an additional cost to you. If you do choose to do so, we would like to make the recommendation that you consult with someone who is familiar with franchising and franchise agreements. If we are doing the 'teaching' with your business advisor, you may find that the show is un-nessarily held up. A good advisor who is familiar with F.A's however, will typically charge you around $500-$1000. We would also like to mention; historically, around 50% of prospects seek independant advise and the othe 50% confidently understand the agreement themselves. Like all good franchise companies - we are very transparent - there are no "secret" fees or "hidden surprises" that we won't tell you at least 3 times each. If there was - it would just end badly! (For both of us!) Having said that, the franchise paperwork is very important and we do our best to make it as smooth process for you. If you are NOT NEW to franchising, YES! - our franchise lawyers do the yearly code updates and keep everything compliant. They also, are members of the F.C.A. If you are NEW to franchising, we'll be able to explain all the basics to you. If you're an experienced 'contract whiz' we can easily arrange a meeting with you (or your lawyer) with our lawyers to do their 'thing' at an additional cost to you.

Training can start as early as 3-4 weeks after you submit your E.O.I. We currently have 1x 'Head Trainer'(Nick) -(who has trained over 90% of all technicians in the company) and 2x qualified back-up trainers in QLD and VIC who trained a few technicians during Covid lock down times. It is our strong preference that you will receive your training from Nick. Nick runs a $1mil+ TV Magic franchise business is one of the best in the Industry, Australia wide. He is a great person to learn from and will be a heavily involved in your on-going training and support - long after your training has finished. If you've been thinking: "I am ready to go, why can't I start training next week?" Buying any business (or franchise) is like buying a house - there is paperwork and stuff just doesn't happen 'overnight'. Whilst we've had some prospects quitting their jobs the very next day; the fastest that all the legals and cooling off periods can transpire is approximately 3 weeks(the absolute fastest it can go). They've then been into their new TV Magic franchise within 3 weeks flat! In the grand scheme of things, this is "over-night"! As for others; some planned a long, 6 month exit from their existing boss before booking training date/s. The majority of new franchisees are coming on board within a 3-6 week window. Just know, that whatever the timing for you needs to be, there is no pressure from us! We understand that you will probably have many of your own personal and professional agendas to deal with. And to help you remember all the little things, like taking care of your pets during training, registering your ABN, getting a haircut for photos etc; we even have a personal checklist manual for you!
