Below John helped Sam with setting up the Foxtel with the DVD/VCR combo. For the average person this might seem like a no brainer, but you'd be surprised how many people call us for help! Even computer guys and professors calls us; its the way the cables go is the trick and honestly, we'd explain it on here if we thought it would be useful to a lot of people but we know from experience it's actually quite tricky!
Recording Foxtel onto the VCR or onto a blank disk (with a DVD recorder) is best done by 'piggy backing' the VCR through the Foxtel and not the other way round. If you are attempting to piggy back the Foxtel to the VCR (the other way round) or you don't even know what piggy backing is then you may spend hours wasting your time and get very frustrated with it!
There are actually a couple of ways to get it setup, if you ask the kids or the neighbours kids, they may be able to figure it out, but then again, if you find it's too complicated to use - they havn't set it up the way in which I'm talking about above which is the easiest way possible (if you know what you're doing!).

HELP WITH RECORDING FOXTEL
Pictured above, is a 32 inch NEC LCD television, a standard Foxtel decoder box and a LG DVD/VCR recording combo. The photo depicts some of the basic and small jobs we do. No job is too small for us. We love helping people with the easy stuff as much as we do with the hard stuff. As you may know, technology is not that easy as it is!
If you want to send free foxtel into another room of the house, we can do that to. This is simple done by cabling up the wall and sending the signal from the Foxtel box to your other television/s. This is absolutely legal as it is only the same channel on the other television as what's on your Foxtel box. However, it is a great way to; for example watch Foxtel in bed of a night etc. If you are wondering if you can still watch two seperate channels, one free to air and one Foxtel; this is true, you can still do this. You can even have the kids watch a DVD in the main room and watch Foxtel on the second room. You just can't watch two(2) seperate Foxtel channels. Copying and hacking smart cards is illegal. TV Magic does now engage/support such activities.
