"Rebecca wanted to swap the furniture of your lounge room to the other side and needed the TV and foxtel outlet connections installed on the other side as well so she called TV Magic Oxenford Gold Coast. When we arrived we found Rebecca lived in a two storey QLD'er home with the underneath exposed. All the existing wiring for the home was underneath and it was a relatively straight forward job for us to relocate her TV and foxtel points to another position. We actually installed new ones and left the old ones still active for her and used skirting board TV and Foxtel wall plate outlets since we were drilling through the floor boards like the others in the house."
5 Things to consider when wanting a new TV or Foxtel Point installed.
- Is there access? Can a TV technician access the coax cables and feed it to where you want it? Multi storey dwelling and flat roof homes can make what you want to do not very feasible.
- Do you want the outlet up high behind the TV or down low with the power point? Sometimes it's better to keep all the new outlets low so if you change your TV or furniture the TV or foxtel outlet doesn't look out of place up high by itself.
- Is it going to be out of sight? Will your furniture or TV hide the new TV connection and or Foxtel socket installation in your Oxenford Gold Coast home? You don't want a messy finish do you?
- What type of wall plate do you want? Most TV antenna / foxtel technicians stock just one solid basic type of wall plate, so if you're wanting something else I would suggest pre-purchasing before our arrival.
- Is your TV signal already a bit weak? We may need to fix that first. As a general rule we don't normally go through with a new tv antenna point installation if the signal is not up to the minimum digital TV standards otherwise you'll just be spending money for an unsatisfactory finish. Thankfully we're trained and equipped to fix any TV signal issues as well which we'll very likely propose at the time.

"Shane called TV Magic after he engaged an electrician to try install some new TV antenna outlets which in the end didn't work. We actually find this pretty common, electricians or handymen trying to do TV aerial outlets or new Foxtel points. Essentially they don't have the best tools for the job and can't normally even test their own work properly due to not having an expensive quality TV signal meter. We found at Shanes home in Oxenford Gold Coast was the electrician had used old school saddle and screw wall plates and splitters, which he had connected to the Foxtel feed instead of the TV Antenna signal."
