5 Common causes of channel pixelation with Satellite transmission / Foxtel etc.
- Heavy cloud cover. Because the satellite dish is receiving its signal from outer space, its line of sight can be impaired by thick cloud cover and heavy rain. Obviously, there's not much anyone can do about this, and it will fix itself up as soon as the weather clears.
- Faulty LNB. The component that translates the satellite signal and sends it to your box is the LNB. It lives up on the roof. It's a powered piece of equipment, and with anything electronic, electronics can play up from time to time for no particular reason.
- Miss-aligned Dish. If your Bonogin home's satellite dish is not within 1mm of the transmission from space, you're going to be a very impaired signal strength. They must be installed 100% accurate. There's no room for error.
